Parcel Shelf Boards

Our Parcel Shelf Boards have gained an excellent reputation amongst the Mini world thanks to their outstanding build quality and use of premium coverings. As a result, they are now considered as one of the best boards available.

We also currently have the largest range of Classic Mini Parcel Shelf Boards available and we are the first (and currently only) manufacturer / supplier of boards that offer speaker housing, as well as the ‘stealth’ option.

As you can see from the photos the boards makes a big difference to the appearance of a Mini's parcel shelf, tidying it up dramatically, whilst allowing you the option of housing speakers in the rear of your Mini, on a neat covered board.

Both the Speaker Original and Speaker Stealth Boards allow you to install a range of different sized speakers in to the back of your Mini. 4” (10cm), 5” (13cm), 6.5” (17cm) and 6”x9” speakers can be installed.

However, if you are worried about the security of your car with additional speakers fitted, or perhaps aiming to achieve a ‘standard’ retro look then the Stealth Board is the one for you. By hiding the speakers behind the covering no one will know that your Mini has been fitted for sound until you crank up the volume.


The board uses no fixings and simply slides into place, with a tight fit. As a result, the board can be fitted and you can have your speakers connected for sound in no time at all.

Fitment
Optimise Automotive Parcel Shelf Boards are designed to fit MK7 (1995 onwards) Mini’s. If these boards are fitted to earlier Mini’s they will not quite fill the space, leaving gaps either side.

You can tell the difference between a MK6 and MK7 parcel shelf by looking to see if there is the additional body strengthening, which was built into the bottom of the C pillars, introduced on the MK7 Mini. It is often easy to identify, as the additional strengthening was covered in carpet.

We must also point out that depending on the year and MK of your Mini, you may have to cut holes/bigger holes in your parcel shelf. Late 1989 MK4 (Onwards) Mini's do have 13.5cm holes already cut. This means that you can fit all MK4 (Onwards) Mini's with a 5" Optimise Automotive Stealth Speaker Board without having to modify your parcel shelf - You may have to modify the parcel shelf for bigger speaker sizes.

This product will appear like it does not fit if you do not have your rear seat fitted correctly.

Product Update
We are currently updating this product - once current stock of the 12mm thick laser cut boards sell out they will be replaced with a 6mm thick board.

If this effects you, we will email you once the order is placed and to inform you that you will receive the updated board.

 The reason for the update is simply because (unknowingly) some Classic Mini rear seats are fitted incorrectly and this means the board can appear too small, like it does not fit.

As a result, our new 6mm boards will fit under the overhang of the rear seat - so, you will have to remove your rear seat to fit the new board. But, even if your rear seat is not fitted correctly, our new parcel shelf boards will still fill the gap.
